,Using pliers: Small pliers are one of the most common and simple tools for this job. Select pliers that match the diameter of the broken screw, clamp the exposed section of the broken shank, and turn it counterclockwise slowly. Apply moderate force and rotate steadily to unscrew the broken screw.

,Using a drill bit: If the fracture is deep with no exposed part for pliers to grip, a drill bit is needed. Choose a drill bit slightly smaller than the original screw diameter, and drill a hole in the center of the broken screw at a low speed. After drilling, use a screw extractor to remove the broken screw.

,Using adhesive: Adhesive works for broken screws with an exposed fracture surface. Pick high-strength adhesive, apply it evenly on the exposed end of the broken screw, then attach a matching bolt head or metal rod. Wait until the adhesive is fully cured, then rotate it counterclockwise. The bonding force of the adhesive will help pull out the broken screw.

,Using special tools: Screw extractors are available on the market. They are mostly made of hard alloy with a design tailored for removing broken screws. Select the proper size of screw extractor according to the specification of the broken screw and operate it following the manufacturer's instructions.

Take great care during removal to avoid damaging surrounding workpieces. Wear gloves and goggles for protection to ensure personal safety. In short, a broken screw can be troublesome, but it can be handled with a variety of methods. With the right tools and method, and patient operation, you can successfully remove the broken screw and resume your repair or assembly work.
